the past Commanders of the 12th Police District have done an
outstanding job historically of keeping the neighborhood safe for
patrons, workers and the public. We believe under the leadership of
Commander Keane that the community will continue to be a safe are a
which is undergoing a renaissance inarchitecture, restaurants, cultural
events and soon a new Hellenic Museum will be built on the corner of
VanBuren Street and Halsted Street. We already have had outstanding
leadership also from AldermanWalter Burnett, Jr. and Secretary of State
Jesse White in this civic improvement and both of these outstanding
public leaders are very pleased with the Commander’s new position in
our area. Commander Keane has an outstanding professional career in law
